The growing impact of the India stack for frontline workers

There are approximately 250 million frontline workers in India. Most workers traditionally rely on recruiters or mass contractors for job placement and are paid commissions. The informal nature of the frontline workforce makes the entire recruitment process very difficult and manual. The biggest challenges revolve around hiring at scale, workforce verification, onboarding, and retention.

Due to widespread migration, various industries have experienced shortages of frontline workers across the country. This, coupled with India’s digitization initiative, has enabled frontline recruitment firms to seize this opportunity to strengthen their services. This has ushered in a new era of technology-driven workforce management.
